Carey Rowland’s Revelaton 5:9 is a self-released album of devotional songs released in 1979. The album moves between spiritual, but maintains a spiritual folk sound that doesn’t seem far removed from Dylan’s Desire-era band. The highlight is “Spirit of the Lord” a transcendent example of devotional jazz-folk.
