Private press perfection from 1976 — Don Lorenzi’s one and only missive is this fugitive 45 on his own Maddog label. The a-side holds the plaintive loner folk ballad My First Love — hard to think of heartbreak that hurts more than the first time. The flip sounds like an outtake from Mayo Thompson’s legendary solo outing, Corky’s Debt To His Father, adorned with an incredible spirited guitar/sax duet on the outro. Highest recommendation.
