A Soft Look is an impressionistic documentary from 1983 by Canadian filmmaker Perry Mark Stratychuk. The 16mm film follows the lives of painter Andrew Valko and his model/partner Julia Lam in and around their Winnipeg studio. A complete auteur, Stratychuk also created the soundtrack using borrowed and rented analogue synthesizers. He released the soundtrack in a tiny edition on his own Destiné Films label in 1983 and then again in 1997 on Twisted Mind Recordings. This is the original 1983 pressing.
